Subscription billing was built to be hard to track. A free trial converts on its own. A cancellation flow sits three menus deep. A renewal notice lands in a folder nobody checks.
Years of running SaaS-heavy businesses turned up the same pattern over and over. Tools that had been cancelled kept billing. Plan upgrades happened quietly. Cancellation flows were built to be missed.
So we built the thing we wanted: something that reads the receipt you already received, tells you before the money moves, and keeps checking after you cancel.
You should know what you are paying for, be able to leave without a fight, and never find out about a charge from your bank statement. That is the whole aim.
It also sets a limit on what we will build. BillSensor tells you what is about to happen and points you at the vendor's own cancellation page. It does not cancel on your behalf, and it cannot reverse a charge.

Every cancellation difficulty score is published with the reasoning behind it, including for companies we might otherwise want as partners. If a tool scores badly, we say so and show why.
Gmail detection asks for no Gmail connection at all, so there is nothing to grant and nothing to revoke. Outlook uses a single read-only scope. Raw email content is never stored on our servers.
No outside investment, no advertiser relationships, no affiliate deals with the companies we score. The only people we answer to are the ones paying for the product.
